the distro I'm having trouble with: bootgpe-v0.8.4-h2200

The 'load root' process seems to go smoothly and its
'verify' function returns no errors.

Then...

The size of the zImage on the ipaq matches the size of
the zImage that's in the distro (outside of the jffs2
file.) (Why is it included?)

The bootstrap distro works fine (bootstrap-v0.8.4-h3600).

boot loader I'm using: Compaq OHH BootLoader, Rev 2-21-12
