getting intimate booting with v0.5pre?

I've been unable to persuade a H3630 running 
familiar v0.5pre to boot intimate with an identical 
linuxrc to the one in Jim Conner's message. I have
tried the microdrive in
both a CF and a PCMCIA sleeve.

The intimate distribution is on a 340MB IBM microdrive 
on a reiserfs partition and seems fine.
It will happily mount after a boot into familiar. 
Does anyone have
any tweaks to the bootldr params, linuxrc or pcmcia scripts
which persuade intimate to boot with v0.5pre?
