booting intimate with 0.5pre

Just to muddy the waters I now find that I _can_
boot intimate on both a 340 MB microdrive and over NFS
using the Sept 26 task-bootstrap for familiar and 
the  http://intimate.handhelds.org/intimate20010622.tgz
intimate tarball.

The differences from previous failed attempts were that I reinstalled
the intimateboot package, and installed the new hotplug and pcmcia
packages from ftp://lorien.handhelds.org/pub/linux/feeds/outgoing/


I now have console access, can anyone advise me on how to waken up
the touchscreen and blackbox?

- another question, has anyone attempted to get (la)tex going in intimate?
