I landed on the original sarge release, though my inability to boot on the newer two versions may have been to installation mistakes of my own. > IceWM works fine, didn't need to set resolution. > > What is the problem you're having with resolution? Originally I got an error on startx that I foolishly did not copy down - it was display-related. Now (because I changed the Screen section of xorg.conf to restrict the resolution lists to "640x240") it either hangs or disables the display until reboot - I can't be sure. I suspect the later, as when I hit the on/off button twice, it suspends then hangs on waking, and I can see the error message from that. Nothing else seems to put the screen back in text mode. -- [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] http://towndowner.com http://burntpossum.com
