Hi Kristoffer!
My only concern is about sound (as I use jornada as mp3 player too).
I do agree w/ you about using glibc 2.5 instead of older glibc (but i do 
prefer uclibc ;) )
I'd like to help in the development of a OSS sound driver for 2.6 jornada 
(ALSA would be great too).

Another good research would be categorize all nice 'integer only' music and 
video codecs available, like tremor (vorbis) and libmad(mp3).
