about jornada serial port

hi all,
I'm trying to use a serial mouse using the jornada 7xx cable, a dim-9 M-M 
adapter and a serial mouse, but it does not work out of box as I imagined.

the serial ports

what serial port should I use?

I'm using kernel 2.4.34.
Michael, did you tested serial support in your kernel builds?
