enlarging menu font

hi -- i've been running matchbox on a handheld for several
months -- first, the 0.6.2 (?) release that was in debian unstable
for a long time, and just today i've upgraded to 0.8.2, also from
debian.

the screen on my device is 640x480, which is great, of course, except
that it means the default fonts for some things are way too small.

is there a way to enlarge the mb-applet-menu-launcher font, as
well as the fonts in the bubble popups from docked apps?  in
0.6.2 i think i edited the binary :-) to increase the font size
to something tolerable.  i don't find such a nice string to patch
in 0.8.2, though, so i figured i should ask...  :-)
