I can't think of any reason except a) some people don't want to reenter thousands of bugs when changing a system and there doesn't seem to be something that imports/exports in a convincing manner. b) some projects insist on using a certain bug tracking system and not another c) some people don't want to "lose control" over their bugs which means restricting access d) some people don't want to make it look like projects are tied together (although they really are...) I for one would love to have a unified bugtracker for OE core bugs X11 Opie GPE E Machine specific (Zaurus,iPAQ,NSLU2,...) where we could just move bugs forward and backward, but I'm afraid it's not going to happen unless you find a way to convince many people - some of 'em with really huge Egos. I "abused" my OZ maintainer position to decide over the fact that OE and OZ use the same bugtracker -- which really is a relief at times, but also needs teaching people where one project ends and another one starts --, but I'm afraid I have not enough power to make that happen for other projects... -- Regards, Michael 'Mickey' Lauer | FreeLancer | http://www.Vanille-Media.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
