Hi all. Ever since I upgraded to 3.5.4 release on my poodle (pxa-250), I've been getting some strange behaviour on the ext2 partition of my sd card. The sd card has three partitions, vfat, ext2 & swap. There's been more & more non-standard file types showing up in place of existing files & dirs that I can't get rid of: grog@grond[pts/1][/media/card1]$ sudo find . \( ! -type f -a ! -type d -a ! -type l \) -ls 16296 0 br-srwSrwt 29556 2037279602 1869442661 Feb 12 1987 ./tmp/greader/gdk-pixbuf2-loader-xpm/usr/lib/gtk-2.0 16294 0 ?--xr-s--t 2622 1948410656 1953067055 1936941420 Jan 11 2026 ./tmp/greader/gdk-pixbuf2-loader-png/usr/lib 16291 0 c---rwxrw- 15990 1852728380 1970235748 Apr 13 1988 ./tmp/greader/gdk-pixbuf2-loader-png/CONTROL 16267 0 b--Sr-srwx 12092 540950121 1748778853 May 6 2031 ./mail/.Pepper/cur 16268 0 ?--xr-S-wx 29537 1010724713 1047882851 792490862 Dec 2 2001 ./mail/.SPAM/cur 16269 0 br-xr-xr-- 27503 1047095411 1008758594 Jan 17 2026 ./mail/.TigerDirect/new 16270 0 ?--srwSr-t 30012 1330802249 792477289 1987208564 Jan 17 2026 ./mail/.Vacation/cur 16271 0 br-sr-xr-- 25971 577052734 540942909 Jan 11 2026 ./mail/.Zaurus/cur 16272 0 ?r--rwsr-- 15370 1007310398 1768177270 1868852837 Jun 12 1975 ./mail/.postponed/new Is this a sign that the card is going, or is there something else? Any way I can delete/replace these without reformatting the partition? -- \|/ ______ \|/ To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first "@' / , . \ `@" and, whatever you hit, call it the target. /__| \____/ |__\ GROG\___U__/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
