I am new to OZ development and I am trying to build my first kernel. After reading http://oe.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/OpenZaurusDevelopmentInformation and http://oe.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/ZaurusKernels and many others, I am just confused about the next step. First of all, I am running a Gentoo distro. I installed monotone 0.25 and bitbake 1.2.3 from Gentoo ebuilds. I installed all other required tools. I was able to pull my oe.db. Here, it is unclear what is dev, dreambox and oz354x. Afterward, I think dreambox wasn't needed at all and oz354x was required. I checked out org.openembedded.dev and ord.openembedded.oz354x. After reading http://oe.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/ZaurusKernels it seems I am supposed to rely on the gcc-2.95 compiler. I am a bit surprised here, I was thinking Bitbake was providing everything required to build the toolchain using the gcc-3 compiler series. Also, it is not well documented (or maybe I just didn't find where this info is) which one of .dev or .oz354x should be use and why. So, if someone can give me hints and point me in the right direction, it will be appreciated. Daniel
