why publish instructions that are admittedly incorrect?

which opens with the warning:

"NOTE: These instructions are at least partially wrong. For example,
there is a hardware reset button. See

of installation instructions."

ok, so what is the value of having an installation page that states
right up front that it's partially wrong and directs the reader
elsewhere?
