you could indeed use a usb-serial device, which is commonly available retail if you do use a CF-PCMCIA converter, which is surely possible, although I have never seen one (i've only seen converters to use CF as PCMCIA, not the other way around), be aware that most wireless cards sold today are cardbus, not pcmcia, and would not be compatible with compact flash. I use an 802.11b card (prism2, works great with kismet), so I can't recommend any G cards On Thu, 12 Oct 2006, Chris Bradshaw wrote: > Hi.... > > I hope this isn't the wrong forum for this....if it is, apologies. > > I am considering purchasing a Sharp Zaurus SL C3200 and I was hoping > to get some advice. > > Firstly, I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any > way to connect to a serial device (eg: console port on a Cisco switch, > modem etc.) using something like minicom. > > As far as I can tell it doesn't have an onboard serial port, but maybe > there is some USB -> serial gadget I could use? > > Also, I would like to use Kismet for wireless scanning, and I was > wondering if anyone can recommend a good 802.11g CF wireless card? > > Or should I use a CF <-> PCMCIA adapter and PCMCIA 11g card instead? > > Thanx muchly in advance for any help. > > Chris Bradshaw > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
