New install of OZ 3.5.4 on SL5500, where is qpe-base 1.5?

I've dusted off my SL5500 and installed OZ 3.5.4 with Opie 1.2.1. I'm
booting off the SD card with the 64-0 ROM installed. The address book and
calendar work fine.
I had kept packages of the Hancomm Office applications and Jeod lying about,
so I installed them. However, neither the Hancom apps nor any java apps
work. I see the busy icon in the lower menu/status bar and then nothing.
While trying to install some applications, I get "cannot satisfy the
following dependencies" with qpe-base (1.5.0) listed.
I've also noticed that I can't "on/off" button to suspend; the Z hangs and
then I have to use the battery switch on the back. But just letting the
power/light settings trigger it to suspend works....
And after a reboot, my clock is set back to sometime in March 2006. Uhm, is
there something equivalent to a CMOS battery inside I need to look at
replacing?
So...the big questions I have are:
1. where is qpe-base 1.5.0 or a suitable workaround?
2. Any idea why neither Hancom nore Jeod apps run? Is it
the same as 1?
3. Is the shutdown/susped hang a known problem? If not,
where do I report it?
4. Why does the clock reset on reboot/hang?
TIA,
roland
