I've partially answered question 1. I found in the archives that I can just
force install, but that I may need the sharp-compat-libs. Okay, I force
installed and have installed the sharp-compat-libs from
http://openzaurus.org/mirror/. But....
I'm not quite clear what else I have to do. I have an icon on the tools
page with a big question mark. Clicking on it produces a message "could not
locate application makecompat". Trying to manually run makecompat from the
shell/console works, but the resulting binaries do not seem to be runnable;
I get "evm: symbol lookup error: evm: undefined symbols:
_7QString.shared_null"
