Im becoming increasingly frustrated by one tiny aspect of my (otherwise sublime) Openzaurus (3.5.4.1 kernel 2.6.16) behaviour. The backlight. Sometimes, and I cannot pinpoint why, the backlight goes haywire. It will not switch on if you press keys, or stimulate the touch screen. Sometimes (and I must stress only sometimes), various combinations of jiggling the screen and turning it on and off will wake the backlight, but more often than not, this doesnt work. Very rarely, "fn 3" will turn the backlight back on. I am normally forced to use the sys req key sequence to reboot the entire machine, placing my trust in the wonderful ext3 filesystem. One thing which ALWAYS works though, is if I am attached to a network and can ssh in, I can do "bl 1". Is there a hidden key binding for this that I am unaware of, or is there any way to set this key binding? This would be my only complaint with what is otherwise an absolutely fantastic distribution, on a wonderful piece of hardware! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
