Hey gang, I just thought I'd drop you a URL to point out the project that I've been working on for the past couple months. http://www.roadknightlabs.com/Roomba/ I've got my Zaurus(Collie) running OZ 3.5.4 with a bunch of packages running off SD via cardfs. The Z is being used as a controller host to send control commands from my laptop to the Roomba over the serial port via wireless. The serial connection is via a CE-170 cable from the Zaurus into a Roo-232 level converter that plugs into the Roomba serial port. There's a Linksys CF 802.11b card to connect the Zaurus into our house WLAN. CalDAV records are retrieved w/ caDAVer and run through some Perl scripts to convert them from VCAL format into at(1) jobs. This makes the Roomba schedulable via CalDAV-compliant calendaring apps like iCal or Sunbird. I haven't posted any of the actual code yet 'cause it's all still pretty much POC spit-and-bailing-wire kind of stuff, but once I get it more formalized, I'll let you know. Comments and questions are welcome. Best, ----Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
