Personally, what I find slow on my C860 is startup time. Not boot up,
but just switching it on. It can take many seconds before it will
respond to anything (button presses or screen clicks) - often 5-10+
seconds. This makes it difficult to use if I just want to check
an address or diary entry.

I'm running Opie, and have the doctab switched off.

Mine seems to loose charge when switched off. It could just be
that the battery is dying.

I might try GPE again, though last time I couldn't find an easy way
to transfer addresses and diary entries from Opie to GPE, and the
browser didn't support SSL (or, I think, Cookies).
