Hello,
Recently I upgraded kernel on my desktop to 2.6.20.
Since then, each time I plug in the Zaurus SL-5500 into the USB craddle, the
"zaurus" kernel module fails to configure, endlessly printing following
messages into dmesg:
Feb 28 10:32:56 arieh-desktop kernel: usb 3-1: new full speed USB device
using uhci_hcd and address 5
Feb 28 10:32:56 arieh-desktop kernel: usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from
1 choice
Feb 28 10:32:56 arieh-desktop kernel: usb0: register 'zaurus' at
usb-0000:00:1d.1-1, Sharp Zaurus SL-5x00, 0a:c6:95:39:f2:b2
Feb 28 10:32:57 arieh-desktop kernel: hub 3-0:1.0: port 1 disabled by hub
(EMI?), re-enabling...
Feb 28 10:32:57 arieh-desktop kernel: usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 5
Feb 28 10:32:57 arieh-desktop kernel: usb0: unregister 'zaurus' usb-0000:00:
1d.1-1, Sharp Zaurus SL-5x00
On machine with 2.6.17, I don't see such problem.
If I remove and reinsert all usb related modules twice, the kernel is able
to configure the "zaurus" module, and connection works:
rmmod zaurus cdc_ether usbnet
rmmod ohci_hcd usbhid uhci_hcd ehci_hcd usb_storage usbcore
sleep 1
for module in zaurus usbhid ohci_hcd ehci_hcd uhci_hcd;
{
modprobe $module
}
Have anybody seen the problem?
