Pda sales and interest is dwindling. That is a wrong conclusion IMHO, it is NOT because Smartphones are better but because PDA are conceived as computeres (virusses spam complex, etc etc) whereas smartphones are ... phones. most ppl that buy 'smartphones' only use about 5 % of its capabilities because the never bother to figure out how the calendar works or how you can do proper mailing or browsing. Well speaking of browsing, in the age of 1280x1024 and higher resolutions becoming standard, are we expecting ppl to acces the web on a 150x150 display ??? If only we could make aPDA that is as easy to use as a phone then perhaps ppl will be tempted by the better display (more real estate and resolution) and better navigation (for keyboard input) speed and better peripherals (MMC SDIO, etc) _______________________________________________ http://opie.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/DeveloperWikiIndex Opie-devel mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie-devel
