I agree with this. I "jumped ship" because of this reason. When I had our MNCI "Ramses" working enought to have applications running on it, I first made a crude port of Opie to this hardware. Simply because I had an Ipaq and an Zaurus with Opie and I wanted the same on our Industry Device. I showed this Opie-Demo to Management and to Customers on an early prototype. But quickly we switched to Qt 3.x because of the SQL methods and because Customers of us already programmed in Qt 3.x and didn't want to go back to 2.x. Customer rules. At that time I heard things (on IRC) like "Qt 3.x is not really meant for Embedded devices, it's slower". But my experience was that the speed of it was similar.
