We had the famous Frankfurt meeting and besides uncovered traveling expenses the result was that the Australian Division rebelled against everything we had discussed. In 2001 we wanted to produce Applications for a platform TT would control but we could influence with our input/needs. Again Trolltech rebelled against it, why should we now wait for Qtopia4? It is a matter of fact that Trolltech does not want Free Software Developers to cooperate with them on Qtopia (in contrast to Qt). Besides that the Qtopia Platform (and yes Opie as well) is technically inferior to Symbian, Windows Mobile and even Maemo. We are interested in changing the situation but sadly we can not count on Trolltech for that so I'm heavily seeking for workable alternatives. It is not that I'm keen on designing a new platform but I'm forced to - for my personal freedom... now the lecture begings... that is all I have to say anyway regards h. _______________________________________________ http://opie.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/DeveloperWikiIndex Opie-devel mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie-devel
