last email from anyone was in Feb, and it certainly got answered. 

It works both ways. Trolltech created this mailing list for better 
communications. I know of no Trolls that have asked to be unsubscribed from 
it.

Its not yet available, it's still in development. As you may or may not know, 
'porting' from Qt 2 to Qt 4 is a very BIG job. Which is why I am suggesting 
Opie use Qtopia 4.

These are not available for Qt, why should we publish these so our competition 
will know what we are up too? I know of no company that publishes their 
roadmap.
Maemo's real roadmap is not available either. The 'Roadmap' that is published 
is more like a short "todo" list.

Qtopia 4 is not released yet, and it will be a standard dual license, much 
like before.

There is no anti competition clause in the GPL.
Nokia is certainly are not releasing all their code, are they? They are bound 
by the LGPL (because they do not base their 'framework' on their own API, but 
on code that someone else has written and licensed), which certainly is not 
pro-free software. Trolltech has done so much more for the open source world 
than Nokia ever has.

Like most customers of ours, wanting the latest and greatest before it is

There really were not that many changes between 2.1.1 and 2.1.2. The big 
change is to 2.2
We have been very busy these days, with Qtopia 4, Qt/E 4, Qtopia 2.2 and how 
about all those branches and research of new technology you don't know about?

Cooperation is a two way street.

Like Opie developers, Trolltech developers have a large amount of autonomy 
(not quite as much though, we have deadlines, roadmaps and cannot implement 
ideas on a whim). It isn't about not wanting to cooperate, maybe they just 
don't agree with the ideas put forth, or more likely could not do anything 
about it due to constraints in our roadmap and design and wanting to maintain 
backward compatibility. A lot of Opie developers certainly do not agree with 
my ideas for Opie's future. Can I accuse you guys of not cooperating?
There is the licensing of code issue also.

It is NOT vapourware, it WILL be released.

Qt is getting better (4.1) with painting partly because of the requirements 
and demands of the Qtopia team.

This is an issue of optimizations. 4.1 is better. As any .0 release, you 
should except bugs and such.

hmmm. ok. so, where are your specifications? where is your roadmap? and how 
about your development? where's that at?
