keypad mode is specific to Qtopia Phone, and only enables key presses 
such as:
Key_Menu, Key_Back, Key_Yes, Key_No, Key_Call, Key_Hangup, Key_Select, 
Key_Context1, Key_Context2, Key_Context3, Key_Context4
The applications in opie have not been modified to handle these.
