Paul, I agree with you. If you would take care about OPIE packages and distribution it would be nice. From my site, I can take care about bluetooth/OBEX development (I'd like to make OBEX part do data exchange without external utilities, and I'd like to make OPIE device work with bluetooth keyboards and (probably) with BT headsets). I may also take care about new patches. In my oppinion, there are two things we are really need - the "marketing requirements" and testing. 1. Marketing requirements. We need a list of features we would like to see in the next release. Everything that is really needed will be done soon. 2. Testing. We need a team of users/supporters/volunteers who may test new features on their devices and help newcomers start using OPIE. I see some bad examples especially in local community like this one: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Newbie: - I have installed OPIE. Nothing works. Can someone help me. Coder: - What platform do you use? Describe your problem, please. NB: - iPAQ xxxx. The problem is simple. Nothing works. Coder: - Sorry, I have another model. Visit opie.handhelds.org or #opie. There are many guys who may help you. Provocator: - You see, this is the typical opsorce. Nothing works, no tech support. That's why I use Windows. .... Lame and flame ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my view. If anyone can help to solve these two problems, his help would be very highly appreciated.
