Opie 1.2.3 - remaining issues

Hi all,

Well, thanks to Marex, pfalcon & polyonymous the IR / OBEX regression is 
finally fixed. Thanks guys! :)

If you've been following opie-bugs or opie-cvs you'll have seen some other 
patches going in. Most of these are for Palm device support or to fix minor 
bugs (and most of the fixes were from Marex, thanks again). Erik and I have 
been attaching the related bug reports to the 1.2.3 master bug so they don't 
get lost.

As previously discussed, I have removed #1829 ("irdaapplet causes qpe to crash 
when sending files", http://opie-bugs.oszine.de/view.php?id=1829) from the 
1.2.3 master bug since it's not a regression. I hope we can track it down and 
address it in 1.2.4.

Now, we have a few tasks remaining:

 * #1849: Missing Q_EXPORTs on OPIE core libs classes:

 * #1847: Deprecate applications before release:
http://opie-bugs.oszine.de/view.php?id=1847

 * Update the changelog (again) with all the bits and pieces that have been 
added during the freeze period.

I'll volunteer to take care of the latter. Erik, could you take a look at the 
first two? I'm happy to help if you need it.

Also, Marex has been working on fixing bluetooth support for newer versions of 
bluez. The patches for this are rather intrusive, but without them I suspect 
bluetooth won't work on newer distributions. Of course I'd love to see Opie's 
bluetooth support improved, but seeing as 1.2.3 has been waiting for so long 
I'm leaning towards suggesting that we release it without these and we can 
merge them for 1.2.4. In the mean time the patches will likely go into 
OpenEmbedded, since that's where they are most needed right now.

Any thoughts?
