Dual booting: OPIE prepared?

Hello developpers, in the rare instructions found in the web on dual booting (wince / familiar) for the iPAQ (in my case: 3870), in the first lines there is a statement that reads something like: "Make sure that familiar has been compiled with the following switches: ....." The switches seem to include/enable "initrd" which probably is the ramdisk needed to dual boot. Q1: Could somebody please tell me if the switches needed for dual booting have been set in the latest familiar/Opie release (0.8.4?) Most current iPAQs come with an integrated SD-Card slot. Q2: Would it be possible to boot [Familiar|WinCE|WhateverOS] from the SD-Card? Q3: How would I proceed to succeed?
