strange problem after kernel upgrade ....

Hi all !

I have recently installed a newer kernel that I have compiled on my
own - 2.6.17.hh3.
I am experiencing a strange problem on my h2200- everything works nice
except resuming from suspend. The device does resume (I can ssh in to
it) but Opie does not. The touch screen is unusable and  there is no
reaction on pressed keys. I can restart Opie via ssh and than
everything works ok.
Does anyone know what can be responsible for that ? I don't mean
repair it for me but what clues to look for ? Logread is rather silent
- nothing exceptional , dmesg also ....
