Hello, now the 2nd part - well, by now I have accepted that it is problematic to sync data between Opie and KDE PIM. Therefore I wanted to use my iPaQ as remote control. After reading the help instructions and following them, I am able to start the application without the message: couldn't connect to socket. Good I thought - no error message! Even the lircd.conf I found is exactly for the remote conrol(s) I want to replace. In detail, I have merged two remote descriptions in the file lircd.conf. The mapping was simple and I thought that is it. Of course, my TV does not think so... How can I check that the iPaQ is really sending the correct signal? Any other ideas what I can do?
