The iPhone has medical (ePocrates and others), inventory, custom databases
(HanDBase), language learning (including Mike Love's Pleco for Mandarin),
etc. In fact, ALL of the apps I used to have on my Palm are now available
from either the original source or something close, EXCEPT for DateBk6. And
most of them are better than they were on the Palm. Pleco in particular, but
also Scott Silverman's TravelTracker, HanDBase, Documents to Go, e-Readers
galore, GPS, calculators, including HP 15c and 12c, MetrO, Zagat, direct
newspaper apps, Bridge Baron, Lines, StarMap Pro (almost as good as
Planetarium). Even with its limitations, which are major, it is still better
than any competitor. EXCEPT that there is no decent PIM!
