It depends on what you mean by "substantial". At its peak several years ago
CESD said there were over 3 million registered datebkX users. Compared to 75
million iPhones, that may not be substantial in Apple's view.

But 3 million additional apps that apple would make about $7 each on might
make it interesting for Apple. Especially if some of those 3 million will
buy an iPhone instead of a Pre or Android.

BTW, an associate just got a Pre. nifty device, and, with the touchstone
charger (no connection required) it's rather space-agey. But battery life is
worse than the iPhone (if that's possible).
