  Thanks Francesco. I have the instructions to remove the battery and 
was thinking that that is my next step.

CESD had a set of instructions for the recommended procedure to 
reinstall DateBk6 and then the other applications, after a hard reset or 
equivalent. But I can't find them.

Does anyone have these?
