Sad but true. I mean, I am not even sure if the iPhone will search back through AS MUCH AS 1 year of data/records. Therefore, I recommend the following plan:

1) Sync your iPhone resident calendar app to Google Calendar (I guess that this is handled through Exchange but I am not sure).

2) Install the Pimlical Desktop version that allows HotSyncing with a Palm OS handheld.

3) Sync your Pimlical Desktop with Google Calendar, so that any changes that you made on your iPhone or that you made within Google Calendar will go inside/populate/sync with your Pimlical Desktop calendar.

4) Once per week on Sunday nights, execute the following:

a) Open Pimlical Desktop and sync with Google Calendar.

b) After Pimlical Desktop absorbs all of your week's worth of Google Calendaring and iPhone calendaring--that is, after Pimlical is synced with Google Calendar and hence is now up to date and current--perform a HotSync between Pimlical Desktop and your Palm OS handheld.

c) Place your Palm OS handheld in your purse or briefcase.

5) During the week, whenever you need to examine your calendar for an entry from the past or the future that the iPhone will not let you examine directly, simply open your Palm OS handheld and find it within DateBk6.

My personal plans for syncing between Pimlical Desktop, Google Calendar, the iPhone, and a Palm OS handheld (let alone, iCloud) are even more extensive than this advice, but this is the general structure.

Best,

It costs 50 USD, but it's free to try for 14 days, so if you just want to move the data and then never sync to Palm Desktop again, it should be free of charge. I haven't tried it myself though. I have bought an Android phone and 99% decided on Pimlical Android in order to retain all the functionality I am used to, although I do find the user interface of Pimlical Desktop overly complicated (and Pimlical Android is supposed to be mostly the same because it's the same Java code).

The learning is a little steep but if you used BateBk you know that it's not always easy to have a good Calendar app.
