I find it, when ppl talk to me on 'speakerphone', it's a lot harder for me
to hear it clearly what they say;

conversely, I assume, same applies at the other end, if I speak on
speakerphone, the other patrty might have issues in understanding clearly
what I'm saying

I mean, there are times when it's just unavoidable, like, working with
both hands whilst talking, to say nothing about other many situation...

what I mean, that, more often than not, whilst on the phone, I need to
lookup or enter some stuff, address/phone number/calendar/map, whatever

it's significantly simpler (for me), to have source (or target} of info
being discussed in front of me

I just can not see being 'functionally efficient' with a sungle devices
that serves as phone and source/target of info retrieval/input

apasrt from quality drop, loud speaking conversations are not always
possible, due to locality you're in

yes, well, my PC is P2 350MHz running OS/2, and, it does everything I
need, faster than my dual core PC, but that's another story
