Thank you for that info. I uninstalled Java 8 following this suggestion and installed Java 7, but it did not make any difference. <br><br>My new Palm M-500 is due to arrive in a few days, and then I'll be able to report back on how it works with my old M-105. <br><br>The two questions are: (1) will the M-500 hotsync with my Windows 7 machine via USB, and (2) will I be able to successfully Infra-Red beam all my data and apps from the M-105 to the M-500. If the answers to these two questions are Yes, then I'll be a happy camper again. <br><br>Frank
