I broke my screen two years ago (my fault), I ordered and installed a replacement and it has worked fine. So if you like the other features of the TX, go for it...<< This is a timely discussion. A little over a week ago, I lost my Palm TX at work (The ONE day in my working / Palm life that I wore a jacket with pockets too small for the Palm: What was I thinking?!). Set the little sucker down somewhere and off it went (While Palm TXs are seriously uncool with the younger set, I discovered that they're held in high regard by RNs because of all the software they can download on them... and I work in a hospital). Sigh. I installed some software in December that made my Palm act wonky when I sync'd it. So I decided that I would wait until I got a day off so I could sit on the phone with customer support. THIS WEEK was my first time off during customer support hours. So my faithful little Palm has not been sync'd since December (I know, I know...). Sigh. The Ten Stages of grief for losing one's Palm? 1. You search all over for it. "Have You Seen Me?" the posters ask. "Reward for Its Safe Return!" 2. You beat yourself up over it. 3. You panic. You really panic when you realize how long it's been since the last sync. 4. You realize you'll never see your Palm again, and wonder where you can get another one. 5. You wonder if you should upgrade to a smart phone. 6. You eye the 3x5 file cards on the shelf, knowing there's a small binder clip in the desk drawer. Reluctantly, you learn how to use the "Calendar" feature on your primitive cell phone. Its constant ringing annoys the heck out of your family, friends, colleagues, and pets. 7. You admit that you love your Palm dearly and want another one. 8. You discover that they don't sell them like they used to. You wonder IF you can get another one. Your family offers to take a road trip to help you find another Palm. 9. You desperately look through the house and storage, trying to find your old (dead) Palms... 10. you find your old palms and send them to the Palm Clinic. 11. Life goes on! The sun comes out! The birds are singing! I'm somewhere between stages 7 and 8. My spouse has offered to take me on a road trip to find a Palm. He's tired of my wandering around, pitifully moving throw pillows at home and looking under them for my Palm. He's getting annoyed at my blank looks and oft-mumbled reply, "I don't know, it was on the Palm..." :-) Anita / California And yes, I believe I'll be looking for some back-up Palms (and definitely those little suckers are going to get sync'd on a weekly-at-least basis, like I used to)! _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail® goes with you. http://windowslive.com/Tutorial/Hotmail/Mobile?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Tutorial_Mobile1_052009
