iPhone os3 does have native notes that syncs with outlook. Toodledo (3.99) is a todo list that syncs with iphone to the cloud (basic cloud service is no cost). You can manage your todos on line, or you can via a free desktop app with outlook. Personally I don't see the advantage of RTM, but it seems to get rave reviews. I love the cloud convenience of Gtasks...that I can add and manipulate my lists on my computer (from gmail , Gcal, iGoogle homepage or it's own window) and have it automatically available on my Centro with no syncing. I find it to be a huge plus.
