Frankly, as a long time Palm user myself, I think many Palm loyalist
have an irrational distain for Windows Mobile.
WM is the obvious answer if you like Palm OS.

I keep reading people who say:

- I dont want a Phone PDA
- I love graffitti
- I would buy a Pre or Iphone if it only........

Why are people who prefer a traditional Palm OS non phone device for
all the stated reasons even thinking about an a Pre, Iphone,
Blackberry, or even an Iphone touch?

Some wanted a Palm OS phone with a TX sized screen.
Toshiba, Samsung, and HTC are on the verge of releasing WM phones with
between a 3.6, and 4 inch screens, all at higher resolutions than any
PalmOS device.

While they have "wanna be apple" finger nav options, you can use these
with a stylus like a traditional PDA



You dont want a phone but rather a seperate device, HP still makes em.

You get your stylus writing
You can get a traditional PDA
You EVEN get most quality Palm OS apps, with greater support than the
developers are currently giving Palm OS
For those apps that are PalmOS only, you can usually get similar WM
counterparts.
You even have "Styletap" if you will simply die without a particular app

The issues of stability, and lack of intuitiveness are way overblown
imo, reflective of ancient Pocket PCs.

I have owned around 10 Palm OS devices over the years, going back to
my first "Palm Pilot Personal" and have a Palm OS Treo 700 as my only
phone today.  But I also have an Axim and an iPAQ as well and see no
great advantage in Palm OS for my future devices, because WM devices
are simply more capable,

The biggest gripe people have about WM is that the Iphone, Pre, and
Android are more modern and cool.  WM looks "dated". People want
"touch" not a stylus. But if you like PalmOS it has an even more bland
look, and you like the stylus.

Look at the just released Touch Pro 2 above.  You get touch
navigation, stylus input AND a keyboard.  Without loosing screen real
estate like a Treo. A BIGGER screen than an Iphone.

If you "like" old Palm devices, I dont see why a person would even
consider an Iphone or a Touch or even a Pre over a WM device.
