hmmm... Notepad, as opposed to memos, I seem to recall as the graphic-input option. That's almost certainly not in Palm's Desktop 6.x, which you need to run under Vista. There's no similar capability in any Outlook version I've ever seen. I haven't looked at notes in so long, I'd have to say I'm flummoxed.
