yeah you can't send a pic through the list because the list is set up to reject attachments.

I do not have the Note Pad in the bar at the left. I have Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Memos, Bonsai, and Quick Install.

From reading in the Palm site's forum, they state that you don't get Note Pad from the Palm Desktop download on their site. Maybe you actually got your 4.1.4 on disk. I would have got it from a download. Also it is now listed as 4.1.4e.

It was stated on there that Palm does not put the stuff like Note Pad in the downloadable file because not every device has it. There was talk of downloading the online version and then installing the version you got with your Palm over it to give you the apps specific to your device.

It is weird that I can tell the Note Pad is synching but there is no Note Pad.

I went into Customize to see if I had somehow turned the Note Pad off but everything listed there is checked to be shown.

The Note Pad is discussed in the Help of my desktop program but there is no icon for it.

Thanks for trying to help! It is the right Note Pad.

Maybe I should try to download it again even though it is the same program. Maybe something got scrambled somewhere.

I probably have the original Zire 71 disks but I would have to go hunting for them.
