Time and Chaos (Chaossoftware.com) lets you do this. They also have Intellect which keeps your personal email separate.

Can I install & run Palm software on a USB drive, to avoid synching to the corporate notebook & server?

If not Palm, can I do this with any other PIM type software?

Need to keep it mobile, don't always have same PC or internet connection.
