I know this is a little late but better late than not at all...

I left Palm 2+ years ago when I realized that to stay up with the business =
world, I needed a smart phone. After quite a bit=A0 of investigation I went=
with Blackberry. One of the determining factors was being able to sync wit=
h Outlook. BB does that seamlessly. Abolutely wonderful. Many GTD methods, =
even a white paper form DA on using Outlook & BB for GTD.

About 2-3 months ago it became obvious to me that BB (as a viable smart pho=
ne provider) was dying. They've had problems for several yearn now and the =
major world wide outages was the final straw for me. I detest Apple so my o=
nly real choice was Android. In a word...YUCK!! Android won't sync with Out=
look without some sort of intermediate sync. Fields & other items that won'=
t transfer and other issues. Android is so locked into Google that it hurts=
.

After a couple months of anguish and trial & error, I finally have a=A0docu=
ment manager and task manager that works but not without separate manual sy=
ncs. If you go the Android route, be prepared for a steep learning curve. O=
n a positive note, the amount of apps is unbelieveable. Sort of like the ea=
rly days of Palm when everyone was writing and porting new apps for Palm. T=
oo bad Palm didn't keep up with the changing world. I personally feel that =
BB is going down the same path.
