I said a combination of the Axim and HS3.  Combination, i.e. HS3 has a part in this.  I know exactly how HS3 is contributing, but I do not know *where* HS3 is contributing, so I can't solve the issue unless I can first reproduce the problem so that I can track down where the problem is occuring.  Give me a little credit here.  :-)

I'm assuming that the steps to reproduce the problem really are as simple as was mentioned originally.  If that's the case, then clearly the Axim's video driver has a role in this issue, otherwise the problem would reproduce readily on my Samsung Omnia II and HTC Touch and the device emulators.

It could also be that the problem is universal, but the reason I can't reproduce it is because the described repro steps are incomplete.

No, it does not imply that.

Can you please be more specific?  What is the highest version you tried, where it was working for you?  There is a chance knowing that detail could lead to a solution even I'm not able to reproduce the problem.

All UI code interacts with the video driver.  And tons of UI code changed in recent versions.  That was the whole point of the recent versions.
