Yes, that's correct. Find an editable text field with text already in it, tap to the left of existing text, enter new text and garbled text problem becomes apparent.

I'm pretty certain before upgrading to the current posted version, I was using, without issue, the 'testing' version that you'd posted to the 'testing' webpage and alerted us to in Message#20444 in March 2010: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/handyshopper/message/20444

I'm not sure what build# that was, but certainly, the issue was not present in the last proper release version prior to the current version, which would have been v3.1.1 build 5429 -- or any version prior that I'd tried (v3.0 and up for sure, possibly earlier). 

Links aren't available to any older versions (including the testing one), but if you still have them archived somewhere and could make them accessible for me to download & try, I would be happy to install them and see if I can pin down at what point things went 'wrong'.
