Since posting the other reply (which was so long ago that I don't even
remember ;-) I've learned about another free cool tool as well.

Learned about it on the Pimlical group (a shareware Windows calender app by
CESD, the DateBk6 guy).  Anyway, folks have needed to parse Icon Manager
icon sets for use in Pimlical.  It's a pretty rocky process, but one of the
tools folks have been using is PFCD by Bob Eaton at [email protected].
It's a Windows tool that can disect a prc.

I don't know if it would work for the need that the original poster had, but
it's relevant to this group....
Also, the author currently has a presence in the pimlical group.  He's
offering to take feature requests for the application, so ....

FYI; there have been posts in the past about how to make WIndows icons out
of IconMgr sets.  I suspect that a person could use PFCD to batch convert
the icons to .bmp files, then resize the icons with IrfanView, then convert
them to .ICOs with IconFX if they really wanted to....  THese tools are all
freeware.
