Feel free to point that author towards me.  I have (free) sample code 
that converts a Palm style prc-based icon resource into a Windows 
bitmap (complete with transparency).  The sample code can also draw the 
prc-based icon resources.  I'd be happy to share that code if it would 
help him out.
