It's not "one-or-two", it is just plain two, but not two-or-more.

This next part is correct -

Since we can't use REGEXP for this, there is no way I can fix it.
I am emailing you two copies of your sample memo, one of which I ran
LFdelete on once, and one twice. On both I ran SPdelete once.

The ColonDelete has serious problems. I was able to make it so
times e.g. 09:30 are preserved with a semicolon in place of the colon.
But, there is another problem. Some of the text items ending in a
colon in your sample memo have several words with spaces between them,
such as "Other type of assignment:". Due to the way the Pedit
symmetric selector (ESC s) works, the work-arounds I have tried to be
able to delete a multi-word string followed by a colon produce other
problems. I'm going to need to start over on this one.
