Hi,
I do the following to overwrite my palm datas from the desktop.
  1) Right on the Hotsync icon on your pc screen ( right bottom corner).
  2) Select 'Custom'.
  3) A 'Custom' menu box appear.
  4) Under 'Conduit' column, click on 'System' .
  5) Click on button ' Change'. ( Change Hotsync Action menu box appear ).
  6) Select Desktop Overwrites Handheld and click 'OK'.
  7) On 'Custom' menu box, click 'Done'.

When you hotsync , the desktop datas will overwrites whatever is on your plam.Make sure you change the settings back to its default after your hotsync so that the next time you hotsync, the datas are correctly transfer.

Note that doing the steps above ( 1 to 7) also means your palm other datas,eg; Date, Memo, Todo, Address ... etc are also overwritten by the desktop version. Hence be sure you want to do this.

Hi, I am a new user and new member of this group. I had a problem with
syncing (extra copies of several entries appeared). Anyway, I
apparantly did something wrong and now I have two completely different
files. I want to take the version from the desktop an overwrite
whatever is on the palm. Can I do that? There doesn't seem to be a way
in the HotSync manager.
Alternatively, can I create a new file in PDesk and have it load onto
the palm? So far I have only been able to sync files actually created
on the Palm.
Thanks,
Ed
