help - repairing a project

Sync'ing takes appears to freeze. I aborted it (several times) and
clean up the mess (end task on pdesk, palmOne, and hotsync).
I'd like to take my desktop copy, make a pdb file and just use "quick
install" to update the database when I have problems like I'm having
now. I only see .pdk files on the PC except for the backup directory.
I know my desktop version works. I've moved the lbPG-_work.PDB file
and moved it to my expansion card with fileZ which allows hot sync to
run normally. I removed the conduit and looked at my .work project on
my palm E2 and the insides appear to be eaten. The desktop version is ok.
How do I fix my problem and get the pDesk version in to the Palm's
Progect?
