Your problem is most likely caused because something else is using the 
port that PDesk uses to communicate with the hotsync process.

There is something about that on the homepage on SourceForge.

If you go to pdesk.sourceforge.net, you should be able to find the 
solution as one of the top items.

If not, then feel free to ask me about it again, and I will find the 
information for you.

And of course, if that does not fix it, then email me again, and we will 
track it down...
