Hi Rick, the sourceforge FAQ did mention socket 9999 being accessed, so I disabled my firewall/antivirus and 0.8.5 installed OK after that and the first syncs went OK too, so looks like that was the culprit. However, after I re-enabled the firewall and antivirus, I'm back to square one. Have to figure out a way to allow PDesk to access socket 9999 and coexist with the firewall. Any ideas will be appreciated. My previous computer did not have a firewall installed. Thanks for the response.
